Answer:
The Bible shows us that there is only (and ever was or will be) one
God, one Savior...
Isaiah 43:10-11
"You
are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom
I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand
that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one
after me. I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no
savior. (NIV)
The Bible
also says that there is only one way to heaven (or God)...
John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me. (NIV)
John 8:23-24
I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe
that I am [the one I claim to be], you will indeed die in your
sins." (NIV)
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under
heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (NIV)
No one has
any excuse for not believing in the one true God, as the Bible tells
us that even Creation itself points to Him. (Read Romans 1:18-32;
2:12; 3:19-20)
Anyone who
does not turn to God through Jesus Christ remains dead in sin and an
object of God's wrath...
Ephesians 2:1-4
As for
you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used
to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of
the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who
are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time,
gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its
desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of
wrath. (NIV)
Romans 3:23
... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (NIV)
Only when
we turn to God through faith in Jesus Christ are our sins blotted out
(wiped out of God's books).
Acts 3:19
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come from the Lord (NIV)
Anyone who
still has sins left in God's books, and their name not recorded in
the Lamb's book of life, will suffer the same punishment as the Devil...
Revelation
20:10-15
And the
devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur,
where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be
tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Then I saw
a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled
from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the
dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were
opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead
were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up
the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to
what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of
fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not
found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of
fire. (NIV)
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV)
Knowing
this, consider how urgent it is that we share the gospel with those
we come in contact with. They need to hear about the ONLY true God
and the salvation that is found only in Christ.
Romans 1:16
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for
the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for
the Gentile. (NIV) |
