Question: How many times does God speak in the Bible?

Answer: An idea that has gained a lot of popularity is that the Bible contains God's word, but is not God's Word. The Bible itself establishes that this is not correct. The entire Bible is God's Word.

Bibles that have the read letter print for Jesus' words actual help perpetuate the myth that some words are more important than others. Every single word of the Bible is equally God speaking, as He spoke flawlessly and perfectly through many people.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Mark 13:31
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my (Jesus') words will never pass away.

Revelation 19:10b
For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

2 Peter 1:19-21
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

2 Samuel 22:31
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. (Also Psalms 12:6, Proverbs 30:5)
