Sin, Salvation, Eternity
(A quick summary of what the Bible says)

SIN

Cursed...

Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.

Galatians 3:10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."

Enemies...

Psalms 139:20 They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name.

James 4:4 You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Unrepentant...

Romans 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

SALVATION believe / saved by faith: John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9

Is being sorry enough?

2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

I've heard the message, is that enough?

Hebrews 4:2 For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.

Can I willfully keep on sinning and follow Jesus?

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

[Also Matthew 7:23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.' (NAS)]

Can I love others, or other things, more than Jesus?

Matthew 10:37-39 "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; (38) and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. (39) Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

**** Believing changes your mind, will & emotions - your desire and will is to now serve and follow Jesus no matter what.

As a believer all your SINS ARE BLOTTED OUT. Acts 3:19 // compare to books of judgement in Revelation 20:11,12

ETERNITY. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I DIE?

Judgment

Hebrews 9:27 "... it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (KJV)

Who is Judge?

Jesus. Acts 10:42 He (Jesus) commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.

Where do I go...

Saved...

To be with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8 "... would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."

New Heaven & Earth. (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21)

Revelation 21:3-4 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. (4) He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Revelation 22:3-4 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. (4) They will see his face...

Unsaved...

A place of torment. Hell. Luke 16:22-31 (Lazurus was poor man) "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. (23) In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. (24) So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' (25) "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. (26) And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' (27) "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, (28) for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' (29) "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' (30) "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' (31) "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

Lake of Fire. 1 Corinthians 15:25-26 For he (Jesus) must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. (26) The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

Revelation 20:14 Then death and Hell (Hades) were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Revelation 20:15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

WHAT NOW?

2 Corinthians 6:2b ... I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.

Joshua 24:15 ... choose you this day whom ye will serve. (KJV)
